L.J. Pavilion
The pavilion is situated in the futuristic skyline of Shanghai at night. The facade is modeled in Rhinoceros and is permeable to the city´s views. The main attraction of the installation is the rotatory platforms showcasing 2 of the parametrized artwork. We focused on the lighting and animation to make the experience more enjoyable in VR.
It was a great experience with VR.
Learning new software and integrating virtual reality in a week was particularly challenging and we were able to do it with the help of Mathias and Susanne
Design Development
I sketched out the initial design manually and further developed it in Rhino and Grasshopper. The goal was to keep the furniture design parametric and also fluid.
we wanted to make the showroom compliment one of the furniture which was already designed by Luciano.
This can be clearly seen on the interior walls where I tried to use the same design language.
we also incorporated the lawn chair design on the ceiling as pendants to create a dynamic yet aesthetically appealing double-height space.

Model_Animation
Rhino_Grasshopper model was then imported into Blender as an FBX file for assigning basic materials and also it was animated within blender.

Virtual Walkthrough
The 3D model was imported into Unity. Materials were refined and textures were added. We included lights in Unity and then it was taken to VR.
