THE PROBLEM
MANUALS ARE BORING. NOBODY READS THEM.
In the KP RTFM ('read the f*cking manual') our challenge was to create a manual poster, which is easy to understand and entertaining.
THE POSTER
After trowing away many ideas, I chose the topic making sushi. These days everybody orders takeaway food. This is not only expensive but also a extreme cause of plastic waste.
My goal was to achieve a vintage looking japanese screen print style. To provoke this I worked with different patterns and unsaturated colors. I decided to only use 3 colors (black/red/eggshell) to catch a vintage look and to challenge myself.
The composition is reminiscent of a comic or manga. Five clear steps can be followed easily.
The manual is bilingual, so both japanese and english speaking people can read it.
