Over the past 70 years, body trends have shifted dramatically, reflecting evolving beauty standards influenced by media, culture, and societal ideals. From the hourglass figures of the 1950s to the ultra-thin look of the 1990s and the fitness-focused bodies of today, these changes highlight our complex relationship with physical appearance. This project explores how these trends tie into retrotopia—the nostalgic longing for idealized past aesthetics—and how society continuously reimagines past body ideals in modern contexts
