Project Description: Future scenario with restricted water access and Lab grown meat
2087. The Age of Thirst.
The great droughts killed the pastures first. Then the soy fields. Then the cattle. By the time the Water Wars ended, the only meat left was in history books.
Governments banned livestock farming—too thirsty, too wasteful. A single cow needed more water than a family of five used in a year. The butchers closed. The steakhouses became museums. People forgot what real meat tasted like.
Then came cellular agriculture. Meat grown in labs, without the waste, without the suffering. A scientific miracle.
We’re the ones who cracked the code. Who made it affordable. Who brought back the taste of fire-grilled ribeye, the juiciness of a chicken thigh, the richness of slow-cooked pork—without draining a single well.
This isn’t just food. It’s a revolution on a plate.
This is the situation in my chosen Future Scenario which came to life during the course. We were given a new Future Scenario complete with a service every other week. These had been worked on by other Teams before. We conducted research, improved the service ideas, and worked further into the scenario, broadening our imagination and creativity for these scenarios.
Process
While working on the Restricted Water Access Future scenario complete with the Lab grown meat Service idea we conducted interviews, which helped immensely with the idea to further the service.
It would be a one-stop website for ordering lab grown meat, getting it delivered and choosing different cuts, meals, prices etc.

Poster Design
For the first Poster Design I misunderstood the assignment… I thought we were supposed to create our own poster ideas. These were my sketches.
Since they didn't get to be used as a poster I wanted to feature them here :)
After the first feedback I found the actual poster template we were supposed to use. I wanted to have the website be the main focus of the Poster, so I created the website interface in Procreate/Illustrator. And for the world/lab situation I used microsoft generator (an image generating AI).

Reflection
Looking back on the semester it was a really good learning experience.
The fact that the whole semester was done with teamwork was something I really appreciated, every week we became more efficient and more creative together. It also helped immensely that no one had to do homework alone.
The concept of switching Projects every other week is very interesting but got a little tiring in the middle of the semester. Always having to start at what felt like zero and having to work up, only for it to be switched again was exhausting at one point.
But after the mid semester „slump“ it was really fun to have many different projects and scenarios to think into deeper.
It was an intriguing situation to broaden the creative and imaginative design horizon. After the course I definitely think about our future(s) differently and more nuanced.
