1. Beginnings of the Service

In the week we received the dog chip service, we also received the future world scenario of restricted internet access.
Our task that week was to create concept art for our new service. I took on this task entirely for our group, as it perfectly fit my area of expertise.
While creating my concept art, I already had many ideas about the world it could be set in and the characters that might inhabit it.
In the course, I further developed these thoughts and concepts with my group partners.
I chose this service because I feel that as a group, we created a really cool world together.
A brief explanation of the making of the first illustration:
I started with a quick Blender rendering to get a rough idea of how I imagined my canvas layout.
Then, I moved from Blender to Procreate, my drawing program of choice. There, I added outlines to everything and began painting.
Once I finish coloring the first layer, I duplicate the layer twice. Then, I adjust one to be very dark and the other to be very light. Next, I mask the layers and start painting shadows with the dark layer and highlights with the light layer.
Then, I merge both layers and continue refining the illustration.
Finally, I add the finishing details, and it’s done.
The image took about three hours to complete, including rendering.
2. World-building
Together with my group, I engaged in world-building.
We interpreted a lot from my concept and created personas.
Additionally, we examined the service in more detail and explored the origin of restricted internet access in this world.
At this point, a big thank you to my group—it was very nice working with you! :)

3. Creating the poster
I first had to create two more illustrations, but unfortunately, I couldn't dedicate as much time to them as I did for the first one, so I am less satisfied with them.
Then, I filled in the template and outlined my scenarios.
I believe the final product is very self-explanatory.

Future world
In my future world, the government restricts internet access. Only government-approved sites can be visited, and only the information they allow gets through. In this world, there are people who live in commune-like groups and operate their own servers. They attempt to create an alternative network using DIY methods alongside the government's network. The government tries to suppress this, so these people move to remote parts of the planet, such as farms, abandoned factories, and similar places.
Future Service
The government has begun implanting chips in all pets, especially dogs. These chips offer benefits such as monitoring the dogs' health and better communication via an app but are also used to surveil people and function as GPS trackers. 'DIPs' is the solution for those opting out, allowing them to retain the benefits of the chips while avoiding the disadvantages. They have developed a gadget to hack the chip. The chip is removed and placed into the DIPs device, which is attached to the dog's ear. Additionally, the DIPs can be connected to glasses to see through the dog's eyes. This way, the dogs go on patrol to protect properties.
