Project Overview

Have you ever imagined standing in the same place as someone from a century ago? TimeSnap is a photography tool inspired by the “Future Cone” theory. It allows users to slide through time—capturing scenes of the past, present, or imagined futures. With built-in timestamp filters and instant sharing, TimeSnap transforms how we perceive and narrate time.

Inspiration

Standing in front of the Bauhaus building, I wondered: did Gropius once gaze from this very spot? This question led me to the concept of the Future Cone—a theory that categorizes futures into possible, plausible, and preferable. From this, TimeSnap was born.

Design Concept

TimeSnap features a central time slider—swipe left to explore the past, swipe right to envision customizable futures. Each time layer has its own visual filter. Users can add timestamped watermarks and share their images, embedding their perspective in time.
