AdaptableFacade

The workshop focuses on geometry, material, and reality conversion, aided by Rhinoceros and its algorithmic extension Grasshopper — a tool that can automatically perform a vast series of modeling tasks in real-time.

The algorithm used to create this facade is given below and as you can see most of the factors of the design can be shifted and a new pattern can be formed by just altering a few values.

The curves are built in Rhino and changing them alters the pattern.

The density of the tween curves can be directly adjusted in the algorithm according to the surface it is going to be used on.

Since design can be subjective, the designer has the freedom to decide the pattern based on his/her/their own needs.
