PastPraline

Concept

PastPraline is a german startup company with its headquarters located in Berlin. Its main focus lies upon pralines and it works closely with the Belgian company Baronie. Baronies 100 year experience in praline prodution aswell as their highquality chocolate makes the production of the PastPraline special aswell as unique.

Clients can freely choose candy from their childhood and combine them with the praline. PastPraline mainly consists of young entrepreneurs with a flat hierarchy whose goal it is to bring back their clients childhood memories through the enjoyment of the praline.

History

During the pandemic year of 2020 the student Yoshua Wilm began questioning the role of sweets in society. He was especially intrigued by parlines, to be exact the meaning of pralines. This was maginified by the fact that people were forced to stay at home during the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, which meant that they spent their days at home consuming more candy than usual.

This rise in candy consumption was seen as a form of „blunt snacking“. What if the intake of all these calories had a deeper meaning eg. memories of a persons childhood? It was in this momment that Yoshua Wilm founded his company PastPraline in Berlin, with the goal of bringing people back to their childhood.

Flavours

PastPraline splits its flavours into three types of chocolate. Milk-, white- and dark chocolate. Adding to this the client is able to select a icing made up of one of the aforementioned chocolate types and combine it with the first „special“ of the PastPraline the combination with milk. At last the main attraction of the PastPraline, the choice of childhood candy, which is implemented by using a special melting procedure, is choosen by the client.

This last step transforms each PastPraline into a unique one of a kind praline. What candy can be added? Haribo, Katjes, Nimm 2, Zuckerperlen, Knusper Puffreis, Marchmello, Mars, Brauseschleckpulver, Toblerone, Nimm2, Saure Äpfel, Snickers, Twix, Duplo, Trolli, ChupaChups, Schlümpfe, Weiße Mäuse, Fruchtkaramellen and so on. In a nutshell each client is able to select an unbeatable multitude of sweets from their childhood.
