A lot of us feel more comfortable drinking from a cup without a handle. The problem is if the drink is too hot we can not holding the cup for a long time.

If the side of the cup is thicker and curved, the area will be not that hot.
Using the rhino tool grasshopper it is possible to see immedeiatly the design what is desired, to change it and to make a tone of variations.

Some of the results have different shape, hight and width. 
Another part of them has a different pattern and outline.

The ribs are starting at a point and go around the cup and are ending very smooth at the end. One small area is totally free of ribs.
