United Space Nations (USN) (the organisation who governs space and created star lifting in reality) have set up a interstellar control system, which forces every nation to adhere to their will in a sugarcoated manner. They are always on the look out for more talented, and useful scientists, thinkers and philosophers. There are people within the organization who have issues against how the totalitarian powers, and overuse of star lifting for greed, which can cause widespread issues for humanity, but their voices are ignored, they are either killed, go missing.

Most of the world’s nations have rallied behind USN, and are spreading a one world nation propaganda. However, there are some countries and organizations who have rebelled against them, and the monopolization of star lifting, creating covert space bases across the galaxy, and attempt to abduct the scientists to get information. But they are declared as terrorists and enemies in public eyes.

ECONOMY

USN controls most of the economy since they have infinite access to resources, and they are free to exploit resources from the stars as they have a monopoly over them.

The elite of USN has the most access to the monetary resources, while  they allow the general population access to the bare bones to get by on a daily basis.

RELIGION

Homogenous society comprising of different religions, everyone is considered equally under the new regime, as a form of propaganda for people to find themselves attracted to the ideals of the USN.

NARRATIVE

USN (the organisation who governs space and created star lifting in reality) wants to create another planet ‘B’ for the elite (top brass of USN) since they already know that Earth is on the decline. The smaller members of the USN are unaware and being used just for their manpower and money. They want to harness the power of the sun, to build this new planet. The issue being extracting the power of the sun, will effect Earth in unimaginable ways.

ASTRA - Astronomical Transit

Astra is a word of Latin and Greek origin, meaning “star” or “celestial body.” It’s often used to denote something bright, heavenly, or divine. An astra (Sanskrit: अस्त्र) is a supernatural weapon in Hindu epics.

ASTRA is a interstellar travel system to reach distant star lifting platforms. Transport system to carry people from their home world to the star system, powered by the energy gathered from the star lifting procedure.

What does it offer?

Faster and further Interstellar travel (Inter solar system) with specialized and state of the art space shuttles, very similar to sea based cruise ships with all amenities (and amusements for the people on their vacations). Scientists & workers to reach the vicinity of a star located beyond our solar system. The elite few who can afford to take a vacation on the stars

Interstellar travel closer to stars beyond our reach currently. Transporting people to near to the stars to begin star lifting operations.

High amounts of energy and resources needed to make it happen. Being able to withstand tremendous amounts of heat.

Service Blueprint

For our service blueprint, we have developed two user journeys. First, we have addressed the perspective of scientists who need to reach distant stars to conduct their work there. Secondly, we address the perspective of tourists who wish to take vacations in space.

DESIGN FICTION

ASTRA Intergalactic Ship

An star-powered vessel which is able to perform intergalactic jump and reach beyond. It can accomodate upto 50 passengers and has all the amenities like a cruise.

ASTRA Logo

The Astra logo is inspired by the shape of the Intergalactic Ship that transports scientists and tourists to the stars.

Nanotech Wrist Bands

A hi-tech wrist watch which consists of nanotechnology which enables it work like a personal computer or device.

ASTRA Ad Campaigns

Advertising campaigns designed by USN officials to attract the elite class to join the scientists in the intergalactic journey to the new stars.
