The Process

The process began with a detailed survey to understand how the online shop was being used. One key finding was that most users didn't make purchases due to the design, and 90% said they would buy more if the design were improved. We also explored various online shops and trending brands for design inspiration. From there, we decided to create a collection of relatable figures that customers could use to personalize their products. Additionally, we designed a „starter kit“ featuring essential items for any university student, with the tagline “Start YOUR Chronicles now.”

Once we had our concept in place, we created a moodboard and began sketching until we settled on our main characters and the overall sketching style.

The Final Designs

The final designs feature both a female and male student, each depicted in a range of relatable daily moods. From the stress and frustration of late-night studying to the carefree joy of a weekend shopping trip, these characters embody the ups and downs of university life. Whether they’re battling deadlines, navigating social situations, or simply unwinding, these figures are designed to capture the true essence of the student experience—fun, chaotic, and always evolving.

The Products

Once the designs were finalized, we carefully selected the products we wanted to feature in the shop. The collection includes a variety of practical yet stylish items designed for everyday university life. Think cozy hoodies and t-shirts, comfy socks, and essential accessories like water bottles and coffee cups to fuel those long study sessions. We also added bags, pins, and stickers—perfect for expressing personal style and adding a little flair to your university gear. And of course, the starter kit is a must-have, packed with everything you need to kick off your university journey in style.
