No artificial thrills here—just the natural ingredients your brain already loves, packed in a playful, easy-to-mix powder.
Adrenaline: Referred to as the “excitement chemical”, it gives us a rush during thrilling or risky activities, resulting in a heightened intensity of fun.
Anandamide: The “bliss” molecule, a neurotransmitter that enhances mood and provides pleasure. It creates a natural high through activities like exercising and experiencing creative flow.
Dopamine: The “feel-good” neurotransmitter is released when we experience pleasure or anticipate a reward. It spikes when we try something new, win a game, or receive recognition.
Endorphins: Also called “natural painkillers”, these chemicals create a sense of euphoria. Thez are released during activities like laughing, dancing, and exercising, making fun feel physically exhilarating.
Oxytocin: This “bonding” hormone builds connection and trust. It is released when hugging a friend, sharing a laugh, or enjoying a group activity.
Serotonin: A mood stabilizer that helps us feel happy, released when we spend time outdoors, socialize, or feel good about ourselves. It makes the fun feel fulfilling.
Play: Dopamine, endorphins & oxytocin. Joyful engagement with others.
Creativity: Anandamide & dopamine. Flow state while making art or puzzles.
Adventure: Adrenaline & dopamine. The thrill of exploring something new.
Relaxation: Serotonin & endorphins. Fun through calm, like basking in the sun.

FÜN™ – It’s not just something you find, it’s something you create.
The target group is drawn to experiences that spark joy, excitement, and playfulness. They are visually curious, gravitating toward vibrant, high-energy aesthetics that feel dynamic rather than rigidly perfect. Their world is a playground—every object, every moment holds the potential for interaction, experimentation, and fun.
The inspiration behind the packaging reflects this mindset: bold colors, unexpected contrasts, and designs that invite engagement. Imperfection isn’t a flaw; it’s a sign of movement, spontaneity, and creativity. The visuals are not just meant to be seen but to be felt—a sensory rush that mirrors the thrill of discovery and the urge to dive into the next adventure.
The first spark of this project came from the idea that candy is inherently fun. It’s playful, colorful, and packed with nostalgia. With that in mind, I started with the logo—something that came naturally, almost effortlessly. From there, the sketching process took off, evolving into different packaging ideas for various types of candy: lollipops, taffy, chewies, and even gum. As I sketched, I explored color combinations, testing how they interacted and whether patterns could enhance the energetic aesthetic I was aiming for.
At the same time, I started experimenting with ingredients. My initial focus was on hard candy—its simple base of water, sugar, and artificial flavoring—but I pushed the idea further, incorporating the very substances that fuel fun in our brains: hormones and neurotransmitters.
The second phase of sketching expanded the concept. I explored new product ideas while maintaining the same high-energy aesthetic. This time, I also took a more philosophical approach to ingredients. Instead of thinking in terms of chemical compounds, I imagined fun as an emotional formula: creativity, freedom, connection, laughter. This led me to products like instant cake mixes, Kraft mac and cheese, and cup noodles—things that deliver an experience with just one step. The answer? Instant fun.
While this idea was intriguing, I kept gravitating back to the molecular approach. It felt more unexpected, more rooted in science yet still playful. I also liked the idea of an add-something product—something you mix in to create an effect rather than an overwhelming experience on its own. That’s how the concept of fun cocktails was born.
I knew that words like „hormones“ and „neurotransmitters“ could seem intimidating, especially when they’re the only listed ingredients. So I dove deep into research, identifying the exact substances linked to fun and the activities that trigger their release. That’s where the back of the packaging came in—it serves as both an explanation and an invitation, breaking down the science of fun in a way that’s engaging and approachable.
The final stage was refining the packaging concept and sanding down the details until I arrived at the finished product: four different fun experiences, each a carefully balanced mix of brain chemistry, ready to be enjoyed.
