The Lab Truck

Labtruck focuses on the solutions available to people who need to acquire transferable skills to integrate into the appearing jobs due to technologic advancements in the next five years. Our idea consists of a mobile creative space to gather people for new tech learning, soft and hard skills, and create an innovation community.

This service would be hired on demand by companies who are in need of transitioning their employees into new appearing jobs.

In a fast paced world, where every day changes faster than the last one, we are all struggling to adapt into the never-ending changes of life. Smartphones, smart TVs, smart devices everywhere. All those pesky tasks that bugger us are being automated and help us every day.

But, what about all those tasks that are being taken off the equation and used to be part of a traditional job of the 20th century? Will technology help us create a more fair society and enhance our labour? or will it kill the current jobs as we know them?

We are already witnessing some jobs at risk in industries like Transportation, Manufacturing, Construction, Retail and others due to the first 2 waves of automation.

At the same time, some occupations and industries are on the rise for the next 10 years.

Meet Jane, a blue collar worker who is very passionate about her work. Nevertheless, she is feeling a little bit off with her career.

A family to take care of at the same time, memos from corporate announcing layoffs in the upcoming months and a lack of direction into her professional development.

She wishes to change her career, but with all these responsibilities on her back she finds no clear path to follow.

Just like Jane’s, 375 million jobs will be affected by technology or automation by 2030.

According to experts in different fields, technology is the best way to amplify the scope of many professions, streamline repetitive tasks and also keep record of processes that can be improved in the future.

On the other hand, people who are taking these new jobs are willing to learn new skills that can get them new job opportunities and a solid career development.

How can we assure a future for folks like Jane, who is lacking a clear direction to transition into the digital transformation of the job market?

If only there was a solution so simple, like fast food.

That’s why we have created The Lab Truck! (Truck honk honk sound) A mobile tech lab to train you to get the skills needed for the jobs of the future!

It’s like a food truck, comfy, affordable, tasty, and is there when you need it.

We know tech can be pretty scary, that’s why we have focused on creating an approachable and simple way to master skills in different areas. It’s as simple as ordering your favorite fast food around the corner!

Thanks to Labtruck, Jane could find a new career path, a simple and affordable way to expertise into her new profession and she can also start learning at home on her own time.

But she can always get back to the LabTruck. d to get more in depth knowledge and also start building her own network of people who want to thrive in a growing and fast paced industry such as tech.

Now Jane has found peace of mind, has more time to work on meaningful projects that give her a bigger purpose, and is planning to start her own start-up with colleagues that she met in The LabTruck.

Just like Jane and other 375 million people, we are building the stepping stones into a path that will lead us all to a better future with better work.
