FOOLISH FEUD:Purrfectly foolish debates ahead

FOOLISH FEUD:Purrfectly foolish debates ahead

How can we promote open-mindedness and empathy, address the problem of stubbornness hindering effective communication and collaboration in today's polarized world?

Problem statement

Stubbornness is a personality trait characterized by a refusal to change one's opinion or behavior, despite evidence or rational arguments to the contrary. It can be detrimental in team settings, leading to conflict, decreased productivity, and a lack of progress.

Stubbornness behaviors that Harm Teamwork:

- Insisting on an idea or plan, even when one is wrong, can prevent progress and collaboration.

- Choosing to do something when no one else agrees can lead to resentment and lack of trust.

- Pointing out reasons why an idea won't work.

- Feeling anger when others disagree can create tension and hinder compromise.

- Committing half-heartedly to others' requests can be seen as dishonest and undermine trust.

The process started from within each one of us. We started looking for our weak points, and soft skills that we lack. then we chose the most significant ones. We shared our stories and started learning from each other. We chose the common problem among us. and we chose to do this game to improve our soft skills and overcome our weaknesses.

We made the first prototype for the game and tested it during class, We noticed some flaws. got some feedback. For the first prototype, we established a scoring system, But we got some negative feedback about it. We figured out that it was working against our game goals. besides some other things. so we improved the game for the second prototype and made some major changes based on our observations and feedback.

When we finished working on developing the game, we started working on the cards' design.

The Power of Soft Skills to Maximizing Design Success

This class has opened our minds to the importance of soft skills in our daily life as humans and designers. It doesn't matter how good you are as a designer if you lack the required soft skills for team work.

Prototyping is really important for designers because it allows us to test out our ideas before investing a lot of time and resources into building them. Observing the prototype in action is a great way to get feedback and see how people interact with our designs, and it can help us identify any usability issues or areas for improvement.

There are a few different ways we can observe users:

- participating in the testing process ourselves.

- collecting feedback from users.

- watching their behavior from the sidelines.

Each approach has its own benefits, and we can use them together to get a better understanding of the user experience.
