Throughout the semester we will be exploring pneumatic shapes. The „pneu“ as an underlying construction principle of living and non-living nature has been introduced by the architect Frei Otto and his fellow researchers 60 years ago and strikes as relevant today in the field of soft robotics and the design of intuitive, interactive interfaces.

The course will promote an experimental, explorative approach to the generation of design research-relevant topics.
