A collaborative course to learn the workflow to create a shop/ showroom for Virtual Reality

Are you interested in virtual reality but don’t know where to start? This course will provide you with an introduction to virtual reality. We will discuss different types of VR devices, the software, and notable projects to understand the characteristics of VR.

We will have a hands-on technical intensive session week using Unity and Blender and will learn how to generate, integrate and interact with 3D-Object in a Virtual World. In the End we will create a virtual showroom and as a special feature it will be for a Multi-User VR Experience.

Please Note: This week you will stay on Campus Bernburg-Strenzfeld. Accomodation is organized and free. 

The core focus of the project will be to:

• Introduction and basics of Augmented, Virtual and Mixed Reality incl. getting to know different hard- and software (e.g. AR-Apps for mobile devices, MS-Hololens, HTC-Vive, Multiuser-VR System, VR Cardboard System etc.)
• Introduction and basics Unity + Blender for creating a virtual reality experience
• Conception VR application
• Implementation of the concept for the VR-Illusionsraum of HS-Anhalt (a Multiuser VR Room)
• Product presentation & Product Documentation

Limitations

currently only 4 participants MAID possible
(because of the pandemic rules) 

Requirements

Beginner, no experience needed.
