From scientific articles, to novels, poems or children's stories, nature has vividly inspired the written word.

In this Expertise Module, we'll start by learning techniques to observe and illustrate nature using different media. Then, based on a text previously selected by you, we'll explore ways to discover the essence of the text and translate it into a set of illustrations that will help readers understand, get inspired or simply enjoy and immerse themselves into the story.

For this course, some materials will be required:

• A text -of your choice- related to nature (magazine/newspaper articles, online blogs/texts, novels, poems, children's stories, fables, myths, etc.).
• Watercolours and brushes (a small, low price set will suffice).
• Watercolour paper.
• Pencils and coloured pencils.
• Any other materials for drawing and painting are welcome.
• A computer with design software of your choice (Illustrator, Photoshop, Affinity, Procreate, InDesign, etc.)
