We will learn about the relation between image, spoken word, sounds and music. 

Genres like music clips, poetry clips, movie titles, movie trailers, advertising clips are focused on the rhythm in editing but also in the image itself. 

How can lyrics support the image, or vice versa.

This can be very obvious in fast edited clips, relying on a typical strong beat. But it can also work in slow, subtile clip about a poem.

We will mainly use camera images, while these images can be created in an experimental way and result in near abstract images. Blurry, out of focus, shaky, etc. 

Part of the class is to learn about the lenses and filters that we have in the timelab. 

Some lenses create special flares or vignettes or very shallow depth of field. Or the opposite, very clean modern, sharp images. 

All this is a toolbox to find different visual expressions.

The elective does not have many hours, so we will work with very short films or experiments.

The whole topic is an experiment, I don´t really know myself, where we will go :) but I am sure it is worth exploring.
